Who I am

This website is run by Smart Little Systems, a sole trader based in Kimberley, Nottingham, United Kingdom ("I", "me", "my"). I am the data controller responsible for your personal data. You can reach me at hello@smartlittlesystems.uk or on 07974 697738.

What data I collect

I only collect the information you choose to give me. When you submit the contact form, that is:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if you provide it)
• The service you're interested in (if selected)
• Anything you write in your message

If you email, call or text me directly, I'll also hold whatever information is contained in that correspondence.

Why I use it, and my lawful basis

I use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange a call, and provide the service you ask about. My lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent (which you give by ticking the box and submitting the form) and, where we go on to work together, the performance of a contract and my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact my business. I do not use your details for marketing without your separate consent, and I never sell your data.

Who I share it with

I keep your data to myself wherever possible. The limited third parties that help run this site are:

• Formspree — processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to my inbox. See Formspree's own privacy policy for details.
• My email provider — used to receive and reply to your enquiry.
• GitHub Pages — hosts this website; its servers process standard technical request logs (such as IP addresses) to serve pages.
• Google Fonts and OpenStreetMap — used to display fonts and the map; your browser contacts these services to load that content, which may involve your IP address being processed by them.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies, and I do not currently run analytics that profile you. Third-party content (fonts and the embedded map) is loaded from the providers above, which may log technical information as described.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, if we work together, for as long as our working relationship and any legal or tax obligations require (typically up to six years for financial records). If nothing comes of an enquiry, I delete it once it's clearly no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data I hold about you
• Ask me to correct anything that's inaccurate
• Ask me to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict how I use it
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, please get in touch so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
